Modak Ladoo/Laddu 


  • 100 g – khoya (dry solid milk)   
  • 50 g – coconut, grated 
  • 50 g – rice flour 
  • 2- banana, ripe 
  • 2 cups – milk 
  • 1 tsp – cardamom powder 
  • 1 tbsp – ghee 
  • 3 cups – sugar 
  • 1.5 cups – water 
  • 50 g – almonds 
  • 50 g – melon seeds 
  • Raisins for garnish 


Modak Ladoo/Laddu Step by Step: 

  • Mix the khoya and coconut thoroughly. 
  • Fry them lightly in ghee on low heat till they emit a pleasant aroma. 
  • Mix in the banana and cardamom well. 
  • Mix in the almond and melon seeds thoroughly. 
  • In a blender, combine the almond and melon seeds. 
  • Boil rice flour with two cups of milk in a non-stick pan, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. 
  • Combine the rice, khoya, coconut, banana, almond, and melon seed mixtures in a mixing bowl. 
  • In a pan, heat the sugar and water, stirring constantly, and dissolve the sugar in the water to make one-string syrup. 
  • Now add the sugar syrup to the prepared mixture, stir thoroughly, and continue to stir until the mixture thickens. 
  • Remove it from the fire and set it aside to cool. 
  • Make spherical ladoos of equal size (small round balls). 
  • Raisins can be used for garnishing.
