Farali Dhokla:-

1 cup sama rice

1/4 cup sabudana (sago)

1/2 cup yoghurt

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon chilli paste

Salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

2 tablespoon oil

1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Shahi Jeera)

2 teaspoon curry leaves

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 cup water

Step 1: In a grinder, grind the sama rice and separately grind the sabudana.

In a mixing basin, combine both flours. Mix in the salt, green chilli paste, ginger paste, and yoghurt thoroughly. Mix in the water. The batter should be thick in appearance. Allow for 30 minutes of resting time after covering. To make a smooth paste, blitz it in a blender.

Step 2: Bring around two glasses of water to a boil in a steamer.

To steam the dhokla, grease a dish with oil.

Step 3: In a mixing dish, combine the batter with Eno (eating soda) and 1 teaspoon of water. In the steamer, place the batter in the plate. Cook for 20 minutes with the lid on.

Step 4: Remove it from the steamer after 20 minutes and set it aside to cool. Remove from the plate once cool and cut into desired shapes. Set it aside while you prepare the tadka.

Step 5: In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil. Combine the cumin seeds, sesame seeds, and curry leaves in a bowl and add it to the oil. Add water, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon sugar after it begins to splutter. Turn off the heat and drizzle the tadka over the dhokla.
