-:Recipe for Veggie Kofta (Vegetable Kofta):-

Veg Kofta Recipe – Cooked mixed veggies are combined with spices and besan, then shaped into balls and deep fried till crisp and golden brown.

Ingredients:

¾ cup Carrot chopped

½ cup Green peas

½ cup Potatoes peeled and cubed

¾ cup Cauliflower (gobi) cut into florets

½ cup Green beans (French beans) chopped

1 Green chili chopped finely

2 tablespoons Cilantro or coriander leaves

½ teaspoon Red chili powder

¼ teaspoon Garam masala

½ teaspoon Chaat masala

5 tablespoons Besan (gram flour)

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

Cooking vegetables:

  • Cook the vegetables in a steam pressure cooker for 2 whistles or until soft.
  • You may cook them in the microwave instead.
  • Alternatively, steam them in a steamer.

 

Recipe for Vegetable Kofta:

  • Place cooked vegetables in a bowl and mash them slightly using a potato masher. Combine the remaining ingredients in a sticky, but not too soft, mixture.
  • Apply some oil to your palm and begin forming the balls.
  • Heat the oil for frying over medium heat and fry them until golden brown and crisp on all sides.
  • Then transfer it to a platter lined with paper towels and serve hot or warm.
